The Senior Systems Engineer will be supporting a Windows/Linux infrastructure comprised of 20+ remote locations throughout North America and Asia, with several thousand of call-center and corporate users. This role will involve managing server infrastructure, and supporting day to day maintenance operations.

In this role you will:
  • Administrate and engineer Windows/Linux server infrastructure
  • Build and install server hardware and software
  • Assess systems infrastructure requirements for new projects
  • Scale systems infrastructure to meet growing business demand
  • Maintain server access and security
  • Perform software upgrades and installations
  • Be responsible for patch management
  • Handle vulnerability patching
  • Manage server backups
We are looking for someone who has:
  • Minimum of 10 years direct experience with Windows/Linux administration and maintenance, in either a medium sized commercial network or large enterprise, preferably in a service providing industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar concentration as well as direct work experience
  • 10+ years Windows/Linux Administration
  • 5+ years’ experience with VMWare ESX
  • 5+ years’ experience with Backup Exec
  • 5+ years’ experience with Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 or higher
  • Proven experience with DNS, PKI, DFS, WSUS and Patch Management
  • Proven experience with PCI audit remediation utilizing tools such as Nessus and Qualys
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication (Both written and verbal) skills
  • Current MCSE and like certifications in the Linux space is preferred
  • Expertise in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem resolution
  • Proven ability to multi-task between operational and project related work efforts
  • Strong documentation, communication skills, and ability to train others is critical
  • Experience with hardware imaging and maintenance, preferably with HP servers
