Internal Communications Specialist

Our Internal Communications Specialist acts as the voice of ResultsCX with all our employees to ensure timely and accurate communications that helps to foster the values of ResultsCX.  As our Internal Communications Specialist you will be responsible for creating strategic communications and managing multiple communication platforms to engage employees across the organization. To ensure the right communication deploys to the right employees at the right time, our Internal Communications Specialist will use several channels including our HRIS platform (Ceridian Dayforce), email, Teams, SharePoint, events, newsletters, and other communication vehicles.

Working closely with leaders across the organization, our Internal Communications Specialist helps to establish our communications, strategy, and messaging for our internal employees.

In this role you will:
  • Ensure initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders in a timely manner utilizing Results brand and organizational "voice" and style.  Measure and report on engagement with content.
  • Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as a staff intranet, newsletter, regular email bulletin, etc.   
  • Develop and manage content library including employee centric information on Ceridian Dayforce, Teams, and SharePoint and make recommendations on new ways to effectively share and manage content.
  • Storyboard or translate ideas to the creative team in the Philippines.
  • Ensure communications messages are consistent across all channels and mediums and for different departments of the organization.
  • Responsible for working with senior leaders to develop content for company town halls and other meetings.
  • Coordinates the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation.
  • Work with leaders to create marketing communications around company-wide initiatives, such as new system launches, policy changes, incentive programs, , internal mobility opportunities, awards/recognition, company culture, etc.
  • Assist in the leadership and sustainability management of global company culture programs, such as learning content for our fundamental values, company awards/recognition, and other programs as requested.
  • Manage internal communications content distribution calendar.
  • Assist with the planning and communicating of internal company events and other special programs/event.
  • Partner with the Recruiting team to ensure the recruitment messaging is consistent with our employee messaging.
  • Partner with the IT Team and Creative Services team to ensure the proper email distribution lists are created and managed on an ongoing basis.
  • Partner with Marketing for site and corporate collateral including branded posters, materials for site incentives, and promotional collateral to ensure the integrity of our messaging.
  • Platform owner and content manager for our virtual “Hub” platform in Ceridian.
  • Documentation author and owner for internal communication processes and procedures.
We are looking for someone who has:

Writing skills: You need excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees.

Speaking skills: You also need strong speaking skills as you are likely to be called on to give presentations to staff. Internal communications specialists need sensitivity to an organization’s goals and values and the ability to relay them to employees.

Interpersonal skills: You need good interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work cross functionally.  You also need to possess the confidence to deal with senior executives and explain communication techniques to them. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with various departments that are located all over the world. You will be working closely with a fully remote design team and will need to be able to guide them to create materials that are on brand and fit with our new, modern style.

Creative skills: You need the creative ability to devise communication strategies. Bring your best ideas forward.

Digital skills: Familiarity with and experience using digital and video communication tools is essential.

Proactive: You will need to be assertive in recognizing and monitoring internal and external news to determine where communications are needed, whether requested or not.  You will need to be a self-starter and able to scope requests fully while also providing your own recommendations and suggestions.

Flexible: You will need to be agile with the needs and potential urgency of the business to get accurate and timely communication out to the right employees at the right time.  You will also need to be resilient and persevere to adapt to the changes in direction and/or timeline for the requests and programs you support.

Collaborative: You will need to work with multiple departments, cultures, and positions.  Understanding your audience, working together as a team, and setting clear expectations of responsibilities (along with the necessary follow-up) will be key.

Required skills/experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 1+ years’ experience in Internal Communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work with all positions and cultures within the organization.
  • Experience with video shooting/editing.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or other graphic design programs.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office - most importantly PowerPoint.
