The Application Development Director works with Senior Management to outline and implement the strategic mission of the application development function. Additionally, the Application Development Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Application Development staff.

Lead the Application Development Group
Maintain the existing enterprise systems
Research and implement newer, integrated enterprise systems
Plan, lead, assign, supervise, and control activities related to software design and development
Recommend best practices
Establish and manage project timelines, goals, and objectives
Work with business leaders to understand business requirements and helps them understand how technology tradeoffs influence strategy
Define high level technical strategies, guidelines and standards that balance short term and long term objectives in a practical manner
Mentor and guide developers in various activities including design, standard setting, documentation, and quality control
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Administration
10 years of varied Information Technology experience
4- 5 years of experience managing or directing technical operations
Experience as a Software Engineer
Significant experience managing external software vendors and system integrators
Experience with multiple implementation methodologies including Waterfall and Agile
Experience leading external staff augmentation, including local and on/offshore models
Skills in SQL Server, PHP, PMP or PMI-ACP certification
Experience leading Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse teams
Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development
Exposure to business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations
Excellent understanding of project management principles
Excellent communication and presentation skills
