The Database Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations, monitoring, health, and performance of the database tier across the global enterprise. DBAs ensure the availability data and consistent performance of various corporate applications.

In this role you will:
  • Microsoft SQL Server Database administration and maintenance
  • PostgreSQL Database administration and maintenance
  • Install, configure, and maintain database servers and processes
  • Maintain development, QA, and production database server environments
  • Assist developers with query performance tuning and schema fine-tuning
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production system via on-call rotation
  • Implementation of complex database schemas, procedures, triggers, and functions
  • Enforce consistent database standards across the global enterprise
  • Automate backend tasks via custom SQL scripts
  • Create Users and assign permissions based on the level of database access, roles, and function
  • Design database backup and restoration strategy for BAU operations and disaster recovery
  • Monitor database server and performance tuning
  • Apply database optimization techniques such as partitioned tables, queues, SQL programming, execution plans, data file management to support different usage, full range of Backup and Restore strategies, Indexes, XML optimization
  • Write different database objects like stored procedures, functions, triggers etc., based upon best practices
  • Coordinate with internal and external resources to understand and implement data requirements
  • Perform database capacity planning from a computing resource, storage, and backup perspective
  • Attend to service requests and incidents based upon Service (SLA) and Operational (OLA) Level Agreements
  • Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for database related incidents
  • Review and deploy change requests
  • Review and deploy SSRS and PowerBI reports
  • Review and deploy SSIS packages
  • Perform SQL Server upgrade and/or migration from on-prem to cloud
  • Perform Database cloud operations in AWS and/Azure
We are looking for someone who has:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any Information Technology related course.
  • Understanding of data analysis, business principles, and BPO operations
  • 8 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role
  • 5 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA or similar role
  • 8 years of experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
  • 5 years of experience in SSRS and PowerBI SSRS Report Server
  • 3 years of experience in database upgrade and migration projects from on-prem to AWS and/or Azure
  • 5 years of experience with Windows server, including Active Directory
  • Experience in SSAS a plus (Cube development, Understanding of dimensions, measure group, measures)
  • Experience in Sisense a plus
  • Microsoft and AWS certifications a plus
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
